Degrees: lM.A.E. Mental Health Counseling, Western Kentucky University
Professional Background: I was hired as the Secretary to the Pastor under Fr. John M. O'Neill, OSFS in July of 2000. My job title changed to Records Manager when Fr. William J. Metzger, OSFS became pastor in 2004, and some of my job duties changed under the new title. I have also been the Child Protection Liaison for the church and school since 2003, when the Diocese of Arlington started requiring that all adult volunteers who have significant contact with children complete background checks and attend a child abuse prevention training (just like the employees had been doing for many years).
How I put my Faith into Action: I put my faith into action every day while working at OLGC! I have the privilege of welcoming new parishioners from all over the world to our parish community. I make sure our sacramental information is accurate so the faithful can request certificates when they need it to receive other sacraments (e.g., the Sacrament of Matrimony). I assist the ministry and group leaders with making sure that only compliant adults are actively volunteering with the children and teens in our care and provide additional resources from the Diocesan Office for Child Protection & Safety to further raise the level of safety and security in our community.
Favorite Activity Outside of Work: Going out to dinner with my friends!
Favorite Saint: St. Rita
