Fund Raising
Development Office,
Patrice Roe, Director of Development, (703) 896-7424
The Development Office is responsible for communications,
public relations, stewardship, and alumni programs appropriate to the needs of the parish and school.
Volunteers are welcome to assist in these areas. The Development Office maintains a parish “wish list” that
donors may consult to target their donations to specific needs of the parish or school.
Parishioners are encouraged to remember the parish when making their wills.
Please consult your attorney or financial planner to learn more about the tax advantages of donating to the parish.

Capital Campaign/Debt Reduction
In the Fall of 2000, OLGC launched an enormously successful campaign to raise funds to build a new parish
hall, gymnasium and chapel and to expand or renovate the existing church vestibule and several areas of
the school (New Computer Lab, Media Center/Library, Specialized Classrooms.) The project was completed in 2006.
We have seven years remaining on our mortgage with the Diocese. You can contribute to "Reducing the Debt" by using
our Blue Monthly Envelope or by signing up for our "Giving Simply Program, A Simple Way to Give."
Click here "GIVING SIMPLY Authorization Form," to get the form.
Then complete the form, attach a voided check, and either drop it off at the Parish Administration Office or mail it to
Our Lady of Good Counsel,
Giving Simply Program, PO Box 97, Vienna, VA 22183-0097. For additional information, call the Development Office for details.

Golf Tournament Committee
Each year, O.L.G.C. hosts a Golf Classic. It is a social and fund-raising event for the
parish. Volunteers are needed to assist on the day of the tournament. Sponsorships and Registration Forms
are available from the Development Office. Proceeds benefit the OLGC School Scholarship Fund.

Food Certificates and Gift Cards,
You can buy gift cards to your favorite grocery stores like Giant and Safeway, as well as many other stores
that you already shop at. Starbucks, LL Bean , Macy's, Outback, Cheesecake Factory, and Panera Bread are just a few
of the hundreds oof options available. (Visit Great Lakes Scrip Center for the entire retailer list).
Your purchase of a card is not a donation and there is no added cost to you. You receive the full face value of the card and OLGC School receives a percentage of the amount you spend.
Remember, gift cards don't only have to be for gifts. You can do your regular shopping using your gift cards too.
So, plan your shopping ahead and stock up on cards. In addition to the need for parishioners to purchase coupons,
volunteers are needed to sell the gift cards before and after Mass on alternate Sundays.
