Welcome from Pastor

Dear Friends,

Welcome to Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Community! Welcome and hospitality are key virtues in a Christian community, and we hope that you will always feel welcome here, whether as a visitor or as a parishioner. Please join us for Sunday or weekday Mass. As you continue to visit our website, I hope you will find a ministry, club, opportunity for service or an organization that interests you.

The community is blessed with many generous, interested and involved volunteers. We have a very dedicated staff. The parish priests belong to a religious community, the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales and have ministered at the parish for over fifty years. Because of the Oblate presence, the spirituality of St. Francis de Sales is one of the unique features of our parish community. St. Francis believes that everyone is called to holiness, and that our holiness is found in doing the ordinary things of daily life with great love. He also asks us simply to be who we are and to be that perfectly well.

This year our Salesian theme is “Called to Holiness”. We are all called to answer the call to holiness through prayer, the sacraments and the love we bring to our daily lives: the people we encounter beginning with our family and friends as well as those at work or school. This call is also extended to bring all of our love and energy to our daily tasks and responsibilities. The Lord calls each of us to holiness, to be the person God calls us to be and to be that perfectly well. Let us be attentive to that call and respond in faith and love each day.

Thank you for taking the time to visit us. Please review our calendar of events to find parish activities that interest you and then come join us to be a part of them. Feel free to contact me or a member of our staff if we can be of assistance. I pray that God bless you and those whom you love!

Live Jesus!
