• Registration form must be filled out individually for each participant.

  • Tuition payment is due with registration form to be enrolled in the class.
  • Participants are responsible for purchasing required texts, notebooks and some art supplies—calligraphy pens, markers, and a set of colored pencils.
  • Participants bring their lunches. Coffee, tea, water & light snack provided.
  • Nursing babies only in attendance, please.
  • FORMATION LEADER: Laura Accettullo

    Laura has been a Catechist of the Good Shepherd since 2001, receiving formation at all three levels of CGS with Rebekah Rojcewicz. In 2003, Laura cofounded John XXIII Montessori Children’s Center, where she currently serves as Director. In addition to offering CGS Atrium for Levels I, II and III, John XXIII’s program also includes A.M.I. Montessori academics. Laura’s greatest joy is to work with children in a number of sessions of the Level II and III Atria. She has been a Level I Formation Leader since 2014.

    A faith formation course for adults, parents working with young children ages 3-6 at home, in a parish, school or private setting.

    LEVEL I, PART A COURSE OBJECTIVES

    • To explore the religious potential and characteristics of the 3-6 year old child.

  • To present the methodology and guiding principles of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd for this aged child.
  • To meditate on the scriptural, doctrinal, and liturgical themes presented to the 3-6 year old child.
  • To broaden the adult’s ability to observe, listen, and learn from children.
  • To deepen the adult’s prayer life and relationship with God.
  • To offer guidelines and assistance in preparing an Atrium environment and in making catechist album pages and materials.
  • Course includes presentations, adult reflections in a retreat-like setting, plus practice times and material making as time permits.

    Participants are encouraged to join the National Association of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd.

    Participants will receive a certificate from the National Office of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd upon completion of both part A and B of Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Level 1 Course, album page work and observation requirements.
