Confirmation Understanding of Commitment for Candidates and Parent

I, the Confirmation Candidate, understand that I am still discerning whether to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.  

With the understanding Confirmation being a life made commitment, I freely choose to grow in my love for Jesus Christ and His Church by making a sincere effort in these areas:  

WORD 

  • Praying regularly and spending time in reflection to deepen my relationship with Jesus.  

  • Listening attentively to Mass scripture readings, to reflect on how they apply within my life.  

Worship  

  • Attending Sunday and Holy Day Mass as an active committed member of my parish community. 

  • Participating in the Sacrament of Reconciliation at least once a year 

  • Continuation of growth and appreciation of the Sacraments placing Christ within my life.  

Service & Mission  

  • Participating willingly in the requested Confirmation preparation activities (classes, retreat, service projects, interviews and special events). 

  • Using my Time, Talent and Treasure to serve both my family, parish and community. 

I ask God the Father, Jesus my Savior, and the Holy Spirit to guide and strengthen me as I live out this commitment.  

As parent(s)/guardian(s) of my/our son/daughter, now a Candidate for the Sacrament of Confirmation, we accept the responsibility to assist and support him/her in the Confirmation preparation process through prayer, affirmation and guidance.

Make sure to register your student for OLGC's CCF 2025-26 year if not already receiving Catholic education for sacrament prep (coming soon).
