Light of Mine
What is Light of Mine? Light of Mine is a guided spiritual and social journey for young people with special needs, ages 14-24.
When does it meet? Every 2nd Sunday of the month, from September through May (except for April and May, during which we will meet on the 3rd Sunday) from 4-5 pm.
What happens at each session? Each gathering will focus on a theme related to the liturgical calendar’s teachings. Sessions will follow a predictable pattern, including a short prayer and reading, followed by a physically immersive activity conducted around a circle of support, then a simple craft session, and time for families to interact socially.
Who comes? Participants must be accompanied by parents or caretakers, ages 18+. Light of Mine is not intended to be a respite program; rather, it is an opportunity for individuals with special needs and their families to get to know one another as they worship and spend time together socially.
