US Open 2: Advanced skill levels for 6th – 8th Grade and also anyone younger who would qualify to compete. Are 3 Singles Matches and 2 Doubles Matches. Total 7 players will start.
Even if your player has already been in CYO Tennis, each interested player must attend ONE of these assessments so we can place the students into an appropriate team based on age, skills, and ability. We will do our best to create teams and begin practices the week of September 3rd after Labor Day.
Please send an email to Gregg Glogowski, letting us know your player's name and which assessment they will be attending. This will help us plan the evenings and also give us an idea of how many players will be returning from last year, and how many new 3rd graders and other parishioners want to join.

Registration Deadline: Friday, August 29, 2019.
NO registrations will be accepted after this date.
All registrations and payments are to be done through Sports Pilot the online registration.
Cost: $75.00 per player.
Matches Begin in mid-September - Will generally occur each Sunday through the playoffs (tentatively scheduled for early November). Matches have historically been scheduled on Sundays at either 1 or 3 PM, and they are generally at Fairfax County High Schools.
Practices: We encourage 1-2 practices a week, typically for 60-75 minutes. And if a player misses a practice, that is completely OK. We want to encourage and expose the kids to tennis as much as they are interested. Just tell the coaches upfront if Sunday’s will not be good so we can plan to have the children that are practicing playing in the matches.
Depending on the number of participants will need 2 volunteers (no tennis experience required) per Team.
Practice Location / Times: We have secured the following facilities:
- Marshall High School – Monday – Thursday 4 to 7 PM
- Madison High School – Monday – Thursday 5 to 8 PM
- Cardinal Hill – Glogowski Team – TBD Days and Times depending on court availability and CH schedule. They are normally from 3:30 – 5:30. I provide pick up at carpool – huge bonus!!!
Current Coaches who have “committed”: WE WILL NEED MANY MORE VOLUNTEERS!!!!!!!
Gregg Glogowski – US Open 2
George Getz – US Open 2
Tara Rice – Wimbledon 2 or US Open 1
Alex Kladakis, M.D. – Wimbledon 1 or 2 - Tentative
Our Volunteer Policy:
