Tennis Assessments on August 24 and August 25 at Marshall High School tennis courts, 7731 Leesburg Pike, Falls Church, VA.
- 4th and 5th graders from 4:00-5:00pm
- 6th-8th graders from 5:00-6:00pm
**You may come to either assessment time if any of the above two dates do not work for you.
Please note, even if your player has already been in CYO Tennis, each interested player must attend ONE of these assessments, so we can place the students into an appropriate team based on age, skills, and ability. We will do our best to create teams and begin practices the week of September 3rd after Labor Day.
Please send an email to Ashley Binkowski, letting us know your player's name and which assessment they will be attending. This will help us plan the evenings and also give us an idea of how many players will be returning from last year, and how many new 4th graders and other parishioners want to join.
All registrations and payments are to be done through Sports Pilot the online registration. Bring release forms to assessments.
Cost: $75.00 per player. Registration
Matches: Will generally occur each Sunday through the playoffs (tentatively scheduled for early November). Matches have historically been scheduled on Sundays at either 1 or 3 PM, and they are generally at Fairfax County High Schools.
Practices: We encourage 1-2 practices a week, typically for 60-75 minutes. And if a player misses a practice, that is completely OK. We want to encourage and expose the kids to tennis as much as they are interested. Just tell the coaches upfront if Sundays will not be good, so we can plan to have the children that are practicing playing in the matches. Depending on the number of participants we will need 2 volunteers (no tennis experience required) per Team.
Practice Locations / Times: We have secured Marshall HS and Madison HS tennis courts for practices. The team practices are set by the coaches
Looking for Coach Volunteers - No experience necessary
