Fil/Am Community Ministry is based at OLGC parish in Vienna, Virginia and we work hand in hand with the Filipino Ministry of Northern Virginia in the Arlington Diocese (FilMinNoVA) and the Diocesan Offices of Multicultural Ministries. As a ministry established almost 10 years ago, we continue to be humbled by the support of our Pastor and the OLGC Parish Staff. • Memorial Mass in honor of San Pedro Calungsod in April.
• The Serenata - Fil/Am Community Music Ministry participates in multi-cultural concerts, collaborates with parish choirs during Lent, Easter and Pentecost, sings at the monthly Filipino Mass at St. Bernadette’s Parish in Springfield, VA and provides liturgical music for mass in honor of the Birhen Ng Antipolo (Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage) at the Crypt Church of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC.
• Simbang Gabi (traditional Filipino Advent Mass) culminates our annual celebrations, which is celebrated for nine days before Christmas in different parishes in the Diocese of Arlington. Our celebration at OLGC is highlighted by a pageant called “Panunuluyan,” the Search for an Inn.
• Support the Parol Making Workshop where Fil/Am children make their own lanterns to decorate their homes.

Outreach programs:

• Collaborate with St. Vincent de Paul Society in our outreach efforts.
• Support the annual memorial celebration in honor of San Lorenzo Ruiz, the first Filipino Saint and share the endeavors of Feed the Hungry, Inc., to aid calamity survivors in the Philippines
• Contribute funds for the candles used throughout the year and have shared the cost for a new set of green vestments used by priests at OLGC parish.
• Give donations and assistance to OLGC for the annual fundraising auction, the Lenten Fish Frys, the Parish Christmas Giving Tree, St. Vincent de Paul Society, Parish Fall Fest, as well as other events.
• Give full-term scholarships for two college students in the Philippines through Caritas Manila under its Youth Servant Leadership Education Program (YSLEP). His Eminence Luis Antonio G. Cardinal Tagle, D.D., Archbishop of Manila chairs Caritas Manila.
• Members of the Ministry are actively involved in the parish as Lector, Sacristans, Usher, and Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, serve on the Pastoral Council, while others are involved with various outreach programs in neighboring parishes and small communities.
• Sponsor a couple of fundraising events annually to support the above-mentioned events at OLGC.

The Knights of Columbus is the world's largest Catholic fraternal service organization dedicated to providing charitable services, promoting Catholic education and Catholic public policy positions, and actively defending Catholicism in various nations. Members from OLGC and St. Mark parishes are part of the Santa Maria Council #4654 located in the heart of Vienna, VA.

Meetings are held on the second Thursday of every month at 8:30 pm.

Our Lady’s Quilters meets every Monday from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Their main project for the year is a beautiful quilt which is raffled off. New hands are always welcome.

OLGC Church is proud to sponsor Girl Scout Troops, a Cub Scout Pack, and a Boy Scout Troop.

Girl Scouts - All girls of the parish and school are invited to join one of the many Girl Scout troops at OLGC. There are troops for grades K through 8, as well as a high school troop. Girls can make lasting friendships and enjoy a variety of service, outdoor, adventure, and educational activities. OLGC troops are formed under the Girl Scout Council of the Nation’s Capital. Cub Scout Pack 976 - Dens are open to all boys and girls in the parish and school from grades K-5. They meet once a month by grade ("den"), and once a month with the entire Pack on a Friday evening or weekend activity with their families. Visit Pack 976 website for info. Contact: Cubmaster 

Boy Scout Troop 976 - Troop is open to all young men from grade 5 or when they complete Webelos II to age 18. The troop is formed under The National Capital Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America and is committed to the mission of the Boy Scouts, community service, with many exciting camp trips, field trips, and high adventure programs. Troop 976 meets every Wednesday night from 7:30-9pm in the Counsel Room, sponsors one outing per month, and sends scout crews to at least one or more week-long adventure camps per year. This group provides an opportunity for new and long-term single senior parishioners to meet and form friendships with fellow Catholics who share similar values, interests, and concerns. Monthly social activities are planned locally and within members’ homes.

A ministry to support Catholics in their 20s and 30s through fellowship and formation in the Catholic faith.

Drafts with DeSales occurs on the first Monday of the month at 7:30 pm for prayer, reflection, and discussion on the Sunday readings or Salesian Spirituality readings.
