Benefitting Britepaths & CHO
On July 1, multiple Britepaths families received very special deliveries from the Our Lady of Good Counsel's community included much needed food items. Through OLGC's generous parishioners they were able to break previous records and collected 7,000+ pounds of food and personal items and more than $4,900. OLGC volunteers stocked the Community for Helping Others (CHO) pantry on June 29.
Oblates Fathers Hillyard, Dolan, Fiorelli and Metzger all spread the word about this annual drive. Behind the scenes numerous volunteers donated many hours of their time to distribute flyers, collect donations, sort food, or drive to deliver donated items all over Fairfax County.
CHO's Administrator has shared that more and more families are seeking assistance and OLGC's food donations are welcomed and crucial in keeping the pantry open all summer. OLGC will distribute all donations and surplus food items to Britepaths (formerly Our Daily Bread), and Community for Helping Others (CHO) this year.
